Reparations for Palestinians
Common to all peace plans for the Middle East is Israel’s refusal to admit responsibility for the refugee problem or the displacement of the Palestinian population. The human tragedy following the events of 1948 has been included in some talks but without Israeli concession. All agreements are silent on the issue of the return of the Palestinians to their homes and properties. Israel accepts the establishment of an international fund for resolving the resettling of the refugees in Arab host countries. It is prepared to contribute to such a fund, but only if the international community and institutions act as main contributors alongside Israel.
